The hitching post horse heads which adorn the carousel's fence were created by the AFF Company of Anaconda, MT. They are supposedly modeled after Tammany, Marcus Daly's prize race horse.
Casts like this used to be used on the streets in Anaconda as places for horses to be tied. Over the years they've
all disappeared from Anaconda, but the foundry was kind enough to make some for A Carousel for Missoula.
