This Looff styled figure has a Western cottontail rabbit draped behind the saddle cantle. The cottontail is the most common rabbit found in the West and the most prolific. The young can practically live on their own at birth. This is the third rabbit on the Helena carousel, with a very large one riding behind, to keep an eye on things.
